Bengal Township Board Minutes June 9, 2010
Supervisor Eric Mohnke called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm with three board members present. Absent was Trustee Marilyn Irrer. Alsoin attendance were Gregory Armbrustmacher, Assessor, Bill Burnham Supervisor of Fulton Township Gratiot County and Deb Schafer.
The Board members led the Pledge of Allegiance.
StephenMahoney moved,supported by Judith Huhn to approve the Agenda with additions. Motion carried.
Judith Huhn moved, supported by Arleita Schafer to approve the Minutes of May 12, 2010 as typed. Motion carried.
Arleita Schafer moved,supported by Eric Mohnke to approve the Treasurer's report as presented. Motion carried.
There were no publiccomments.
Gregory Armbrustmacher, Assessorstated that BS&A is loadingthe new program into his computer. Greg also stated that he had two splits, David Harper and Douglas Knight. David Harper's owns three parcels the split does comply with the Land Division Act and also with Zoning Department. Stephen Mahoney moved, supported by Judith Huhn to accept David Harper's split as presented. Motion carried . Judith Huhn moved, supported by Arleita Schafer to accept the split for Doug & Jane Knight it does comply with the Land Division Act and also with Zoning Department. Motion carried. Ken Mohnke wants to put all splits together into one parcel no paper work as of yet.
Old Hall: Dallas Township Fire Department will burn it down as soon as we get the report from Fibertec Industrial Hygiene Services in regards to Asbestos. Stephen Mahoney moved, supported by Judith Huhn that Phil Peterson of Fibertec Industrial Hygiene Services to inspect the old hall for Asbestos for $450.00 or less. Motion carried.
New Hall: Loan should have gone thru the State Department according to the Auditors. Installment purchased agreement does not have to file with the State. Rental Policy fax to Burnham & Flower for them to look over. Certificate of Compliance was issued on June 9, 2010.
Final draft of the Newsletter was discussed. It was all set to go to the Printers.
Roads: No new projects at this time.
Judith Huhn mover, supported by Eric Mohnke topay all outstanding bills up to June 9, 2010 for a total of $37,795.05. Motion carried.
Ambulance update: Year to dateas of March 31, 2010 there was a net profit of $124,823.04. Last year there was a net loss of $25,801.99. This is due to the new director.
The Board discuss Management's Discussion & Analysis that was brought up by the Auditors. At the July meetingwe will have somebody here from Abraham & Gaffney to explain that and also go over our Audit at that time.
Arleita Schafer moved, supported by StephenMahoney to adjourn meeting. Motion carried.
