MINUTES

Bengal Township Board Meeting January 13, 2010

Supervisor Eric Mohnke called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm with three board members present.  Absent was Marilyn Irrer.  Also in attendance was Sgt. Dan Spitzley and Gregory Armbrustmacher, Assessor, Jack Enderle Board of Commissioner stop in after we had adjourn the meeting, also several residents of Bengal Township whose signatures are attached to the minutes.

The board members led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Arleita Schafer moved, supported by Stephen Mahoney to accept the Agenda with the additions.  Motion carried.

Judith Huhn moved, supported by Arleita Schafer to accept the Minutes of December 9, 2009 as presented.  Motion carried.

Arleita Schafer moved, supported by Stephen Mahoney to accept the Treasurer's report as presented. Motion carried.

Sgt. Spitzley gave a brief report about the happenings in the Township.

Gregory Armbrustmacher is working on the new assessment rolls, he hopes to have assessment roll set by February 1st.

Township Hall update: Stephen Mahoney moved, supported by Eric Mohnke to have PVC Walnut finish custom blinds installed on the windows for a total $1843.25.  Motion carried.  Inside of front door there will be carpet instead of tile for additional $177.00 that is easy to clean.  Three by Three hard tile by east door no extra cost.  Pressure mound sewage disposal system needs to be inspected every year, Eric will talk to the Health Department about every two years.

Newsletter will be sent out with Assessment Notices in February in regards to moving the old hall.  Road Commission will take care of ditching around the corner along the road.  Stephen Mahoney will check with the Fire Departments in regards to burning the hall down.

Larry Wineland sent back lease, check for $350.00 nothing signed or no note as to why he did not accept the check.  Eric Mohnke will send a letter to Larry and ask him to be at February meeting.

Porjects for 2010 was discuss on the roads.  Joe Pulver Managing Director of the Road Commission will be at the meeting to discuss different road projects.

Judith Huhn moved, supported by Stephen Mahoney  to pay all outstanding bills up to January 13,2010 totaling $181.60.  Motion carried.

There was no ambulance meeting.  Eric passed out the budget for us to look at and act on at the February meeting.  County wants to sell the building again.

Eric Mohnke talked to Vern Feldpausch, Supervisor of the Dallas Township in regards to rescue runs.  Dallas is looking into it and maybe continuing the coverage and they would send the bills out.  There is nothing different at this time.

Stephen Mahoney moved, supported by Judith Huhn to adjourn meeting.   Motion carried.
